Matterport is offering affordable 3D Cameras for the creation of realtime 3d walkthroughs. The camera is equipped with 2 infrared sensors and a 4k camera system for texturing the final geometry. Digitalisation takes place almost in realtime with no need of matching the different scan positions. Additionally they offer an authoring system to create 3d tours in VR and IR hosted on a powerful cloud system. An impressive example gives the planetarium in Hamburg where one can sgtroll through the exhibit and visit the planetarium dome streamed by WebGL.
