An international crossmedia project will mark the 100th anniversary of the legendary Bauhaus movement in 2019.

For the occasion, the Interactive Media Foundation and Filmtank developed  a virtual reality installation for humans and machines called ‘The Total Dance Theatre’.

The relationship between people, machines and space comes alive in virtual reality. The visitor passes through a multi-level dramatic composition, experiencing a transition from imaginative figures to total loss of control.Analogue and digital arts enter into a unique symbiosis: Dance, set decoration, costume design and music, combined with interactive elements, set the user in their own unique world.

The installation ‘The Total Dance Theatre’ can be experienced for the first time in January 2019 at the Academy of Arts, Berlin.
