NEW YORK’S MUSEUM of Modern Art is under siege. Well, a virtual siege, at least. Adobe announce Project Aero for AR authoring

Adobe has announced a new AR authoring tool called Project Aero. The software is a collaboration between Adobe to creating authoring tools for Apple’s ARKit enabled devices, using Pixar’s new USDZ file format. The latter is described as a way to display rendered 3D AR content using a  “zero compression, unencrypted zip archive” that they hope will become a standard for AR content. Reconstructing Tell el-Daba In 2017, the VIMM project partner  7reasons had the chance to collaborate with the Austrian Academy of Science (ÖAW), OREA Digital Archaeology Research Group and Ludwig Bolzmann Institute for archaeological prospection and virtual archaeology, reconstructing and digitising  the long term excavation project of  Prof. Manfred Bietak at Tell el Daba /Aegypt.
