Dear colleagues,

Time Machine (TM) is a large-scale research initiative aiming to develop the Big Data of the Past by designing and implementing advanced new digitisation and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to mine Europe’s vast cultural heritage. The European Commission has chosen Time Machine (https://timemachine.eu/) as one of the six CSA proposals retained for preparing large scale research initiatives in the next decade (call FETFLAG-01-2018).

Based on feedback by more than 800 researchers we created first versions of the Time Machine roadmaps aiming at developing a large scale research initiative.

Please let me invite you to have a look at these roadmaps as part of the public consultation process. Via the link https://ec.europa.eu/eusurvey/runner/cab20d7d-54a7-b390-8208-65c512d79f27 you will be able to download the roadmap synopsis as well as to provide your feedback on the proposed areas of intervention.

With your participation and support, we intend to review and examine needs and procedures that are of high relevance for elaborating a research agenda to approach funding bodies such as the European Commission and national ministries.

On behalf of Time Machine
Sander Münster
