Not my future? If egocentric people care little about the long-term consequences of global warming, it’s because their brains don’t represent the distant future, according to the results of an experiment by Tobias Brosch and his colleagues at the University of Geneva. What could be more obvious than glasses to solve this “short-sightedness for the future”?   According to Tobias Brosch, VR glasses could show people with selfish tendencies the future they don’t want to see. “We could imagine psychological training that uses projections to stimulate this brain region in virtual reality,” the researcher suggests.
