18 immersive VR experiences are available to the public at the National Museum
of Singapore. The innovation in the adaption of virtual reality in this museum has
been the logical next step in its digital adventures. Also, this innovation has had
some effect, which is, for instance, the increased number of visitors wanting to see Farquhar’s actual drawings, after viewing the corresponding interactive digital installation of Farquhar’s animal and plant drawings.

This could be useful in Thematic Area 4 of the ViMM project, because this is a special innovation in virtual reality adapted by a museum, which has been very successful. With the help of virtual reality, visitors can explore 18 immersive experiences. The most important thing is that this innovation, can make the visitors want to learn more about each exhibition, which is actually the purpose of this innovation. All of these virtual reality experiences combine the storytelling, presence and gamification fields in order to provide the visitors with the best virtual experience.
