Virtual and augmented reality, the two technologies that play an important role on the cultural heritage preservation, have recently become a part of the Tower of David museum. Startups that develop virtual and augmented reality technologies are spread in the nooks of the museum, working on their projects and testing them there. These projects have to do with the cultural heritage preservation of the museum and also they make the historical sites of the museum more interactive and alive. For instance, there are some projects that allow the visitors to see some areas the way they looked like in the past.
This Innovation Lab is a great addition to the museum, which will help it attract more visitors as it will provide them with an amazing and fun experience.
This could be useful in Thematic Area 4 of the ViMM project, because the virtual and augmented reality technologies that are developed in the Innovation Lab, are used in order to revive the history of those historical sites. This provides the visitors with an amazing interactive experience and contributes in the cultural heritage preservation.
