Originally from Slovenia, Kaja is a designer and academic interested in human-centred design, 3D technologies and heritage interpretation. Along with her teaching of Product development, Kaja is currently working together with other researchers from Deakin University’s School of Engineering, Swinburne University’s PrimeSci, and the National Wool Museum to revitalise dinosaur heritage of the Victorian Coast (Australia) using Mixed Reality technologies for the benefit of local communities. She has a Master’s Degree in Industrial Design and a Doctoral Degree in Heritage Studies (3D Technologies as a Support for Industrial Design Museum Exhibition, 2013). She has extensive expertise in 3D printing industry from working for a SME. Through an 8-month EVS voluntary project in Morocco (Casablanca/Rabat), Kaja gained experience in cross-cultural communications, NGOs and social entrepreneurship. She was a NMC Horizon Report 2015 and 2016 Museum Edition Expert Panel Member and as one of the eCult Ambassadors, facilitators between technology and heritage sector, involved in the eCultValue project (EC FP7). In 2015 Kaja completed her Endeavour Postdoc at the Centre for Creative and Cultural Research, University of Canberra. Kaja is a member of Interpret Europe - European Association for Heritage Interpretation and ICOM - International Council of Museums.
